PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 RED-NECK LOVER

You loved me in the morning and in the afternoon.
You loved me in the storage shed,
And even when we went to bed;
But redneck lover, you weren’t cool
When you drank all day,
And then came home at half past two,
And kicked the door, and hit the floor,
And told me I would pay.

I wanted to believe in you, to see that you were good,
But when I gave you all my love,
You hissed and loved me with a shove;
And red-neck lover, you’re a fool,
To think that I would stay.
It didn’t take me very long
To find the strength to let you go,
In time to get away.
